Tips on Booking Lodging

One of the first things you’ll choose when planning your Brainerd Lakes vacation is where to stay. We have lodging options for every type of traveler. You’ll find resorts with full amenities, quiet resorts, hotels, and campgrounds. Certain times of the year, though, lodging properties reach near capacity. Here are some tips to make your vacation planning easier when making your lodging reservations.

Tip #1

Plan ahead.

While you can find last minute openings, making your reservation in advance gives you the best chance to get the vacation dates that you want. It’s not too early to plan your summer 2022 vacation and contact lodging properties now for availability.

Tip #2

Look to the off season.

The off-season is a great time to visit. You’ll find less crowds and often lower rates on lodging and activities. Think cooler temps and fall colors for golf, hiking, and biking. In the winter, you’ll find ice fishing, fat tire biking, and snow tubing. Several of our hotels have indoor waterparks, which make for the perfect weekend getaway destinations.

Tip #3

Be flexible.

Staying flexible on your travel dates can help when looking to book your stay. If you’re able to travel midweek, properties tend to have more availability. Midweek is also a quieter time to visit, which is an added bonus!

Tip #4

Reach out for help.

If you are wondering what’s available for lodging, call our staff at 800-450-2838 or email InfoStaff@ExploreBrainerdLakes.com. With some information on what you’re looking for, we can connect you with lodging properties to help create your perfect stay!

Pro Tip - Plan your family vacation when gathered with loved ones during the holiday season!
