The Brainerd Lakes Area is a snowmobiling paradise. With over 1,200 miles of groomed, connected trails, sledders can ride for days and see new places. Visiting snowmobilers will find a plentiful amount of retail and service outlets for gas, repairs, food, and lodging in communities along the trails. Plus, our color-coded trail system makes traveling easy.

A Snowmobile State Trail sticker is required for all persons operating a snowmobile on state or grant-in-aid trails.  Please be aware that snowmobiles with studs are not allowed on most paved state and public trails.

If you have further questions, please contact the Department of Natural Resources, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-888-646-6367. You may also order state stickers and permits at 1-888-665-4236, or online.

Contact the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce to receive a snowmobile map via the mail, or visit here to view a map on-line.
