Art Centers & Galleries
The Franklin Art Center in Brainerd, previously known as Franklin School, is home to art studios and living quarters to numerous area artists. The art center is open to the public Monday through Friday and on the second Saturday of every month. This is your chance to meet local artists, view the products that they create and purchase one-of-a-kind items.
The Brainerd Lakes Area is also home to many additional art galleries showcasing the work of numerous vary talented local artist.
Art Shows
Throughout the year, numerous art shows are hosted within the Brainerd Lakes Area communities. Some annual events include Arts in the Park in Brainerd, the Artisan Fair at the Crosslake Historical Village as well as arts and craft shows at local festivals, such as the Taste of Pequot. Theatrical & Musical Performances
Theatrical and musical performances range from community theatre to symphony orchestra performances and everything in between. The Central Lakes College Theater and area schools have performances throughout the year, while Geritol Frolics perform in the fall. The Legacy Coral of Greater Minnesota also performs numerous concerts throughout the year with the goal of enriching, inspiring and renewing the area communities.
