Yet as a regional economic hub, we also cater to business travelers both arriving at or departing from our busy lake-studded haven.

Many Lakes Area residents and business people travel regularly. For air travelers, the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport recently expanded with a second runway engineered to handle all the weather our four seasons can generate. This airport is an official point-of-entry into the secured areas of airports nationwide, and is just a short 30- minute flight from the international airport in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

But if flying doesn't work for you, three major highway systems converge here, making it an easy driving destination from any direction—Minneapolis/St.Paul, Duluth/Superior, Fargo/Moorhead, Mankato, the northern Iron Range, or Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
