Pequot Lakes has recently made additions to its school system. Eagle View, housing kindergarten through fifth-grade students, opens in fall of 2004. Roughly 110,000 square feet, the new school contains five sections and a two-story walk-out. "It has a tremendous view overlooking Rice Lake," says former superintendent, Jim Oraskovich. A 9,000 square foot addition has also been added to the existing school. This addition will house the band and choir departments. "Like other Brainerd Lakes Area schools," says Oraskovich, "Pequot Lakes has continued to grow. With our enrollment nearing 1,400, the new additions will be welcome."
