The 5,000-acre Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area is the heart and soul of this area. The mine pit lakes provide unbelievable fishing, canoeing, and scuba diving.

Community Events

The Chamber is the voice of business in the region. The Chamber advocates for business, markets the region, and provides programs to help businesses succeed. The Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce has four locations in the lakes area: the administrative office is located in Brainerd, and Welcome Centers are located at the rest area 8 miles south of Baxter’s Hwy 210 and 371 intersection; at the Trailside building in Pequot Lakes, and across from the Crosslake Dam.
