The city of Breezy Point is a thriving community located along the western shores of Pelican Lake. Breezy Point is characterized by both family and retirement residences and is a strong recreational community with a substantial number of seasonal residences.

The Brainerd Lakes Chamber was the host organization for the 2008 Governor's Fishing Opener. The Pequot Lakes / Breezy Point communities, host facility Breezy Point Resort, and event chairs Dr. Ryan & Patty Buell offered a fabulous array of activities that complimented the 60th Annual Governor's Fishing Opener. They are thankful to the event sponsors and volunteers for helping make this event possible.
